Every performance job gets a timed pass on the factory file and another on the tuned one, so the figures you take home came off your own car.
The short answer
Every performance job is timed on the road with a Dragy Pro: the same stretch of tarmac, the same day, the same tank of fuel. One pass on the factory file, one on the tuned file.
The ECU logs boost, lambda, intake air temperature and ignition timing correction through both passes, and you keep both sets of data.
The timed roll we run in the same gear, before the flash and after it.
Calibrated at our partner workshops over more than three years.
Typical power gain on a forced induction engine. A naturally aspirated engine gains 5 to 12 percent.
What owners reported
These are the gains owners reported after their own tune, taken from the review they left.
Gain over the same vehicle's stock output, as stated by its owner. Power and torque are charted separately.
Diesel 4x4s and pickups gain proportionally more torque than power. That is the figure that matters for towing and for pulling out of soft sand.

- The run
- Same road, same day, same tank of fuel. A Dragy-timed 0-100 km/h and a 60-140 km/h roll in the same gear, once on the factory file and once on the tuned file.
- The log
- The ECU records boost, lambda, intake air temperature and ignition timing correction throughout. You keep both sets, before and after.
- Heat soak
- A vehicle that gains on the first pass and loses it by the third has a heat problem, not a power problem. We keep logging intake air temperature until the times repeat.
Who this suits
Some vehicles are a poor candidate, and it is cheaper to find that out before the drive.
What this is good for
- Turbo and supercharged engines, where the file typically finds 15 to 30 percent.
- Vehicles that go soft on the third run. Heat soak is a calibration problem before it is a hardware one.
- Trucks, buses, JCB plant and agricultural machinery, where the gain that matters is torque at 1,400 rpm.
- Owners who want the before and after logs handed to them to read.
What this is not for
- A printed peak horsepower sheet for a buyer or a car show. What we produce is timing data and ECU logs.
- Naturally aspirated engines expecting more than 5 to 12 percent. That is the ceiling on a file alone.
- An engine with a mechanical fault. A slipping clutch, a split intercooler pipe or a weeping injector seal gets fixed before anything is written.
