ECU Tuning Specs by Vehicle
What a file does to each platform, set out by engine code.
The short answer
Every Stage figure we quote is an estimate for a healthy engine running 98 octane. None of these figures come from your vehicle. Forced induction engines typically gain 15 to 30 percent and naturally aspirated engines 5 to 12 percent, because software cannot add air the engine never breathed. Those ranges hide a lot: the supercharged TRX leaves the factory close to its limit and gains about 5 percent from software alone, while the VVEL Patrols sit at the top of the naturally aspirated band. What your vehicle actually makes depends on its condition, the fuel you buy and the air temperature on the day. We time yours on a Dragy Pro before and after the flash, on the same road and the same tank of fuel, with the ECU logging throughout.
Before you pick a model
The platforms where a file earns its money, and the ones where it will disappoint you.
What this is good for
- Turbo and supercharged platforms, where the Stage 1 file does most of the work on its own.
- Automatics whose factory TCU hunts for gears, where the shift logic is worth more than the extra power.
- Vehicles driven through a Gulf summer, where the gain that matters is the power still there on the third run.
What this is not for
- Naturally aspirated engines chasing the numbers in Instagram adverts. On a stock NA V8 like the Patrol's VK56VD, a realistic gain from a file is 40 to 48 hp.
- Stage 2 figures without the hardware. Headers, intercoolers and belts are a separate job from the file, and the file alone will not reach those numbers.
- A platform not listed here. Send the engine code and we will say whether we hold a calibration for it.

Not a car? Still an ECU
These are the road platforms we publish figures for. The bench reads and writes anything with an engine control unit: trucks, buses, JCB and plant, tractors and farm machinery, standby generators, marine engines and jet skis. Those jobs are quoted from the controller, not from a spec table.
Where we work
What changes by emirate is the drive, the fuel and whether the ECU can be handled remotely from a file you send.
Tell us what you drive
Send your make, model, year and what you want from the tune. We come back with a price and the gain the file will realistically make.
