Performance Tuning
Torque request, ignition timing and boost tables, rewritten against the fuel you actually buy here.
Performance Tuning at a glance
A remap is a rewrite of the tables the engine already runs to: how much torque it asks for, when it lights the mixture, and how much boost it will hold to get there. The factory numbers are set for a spread of climates, fuel grades and service intervals. Ours are set for one car, on the fuel sold at the pump here.
Stage 1 is software only with the vehicle present, usually 2 to 4 hours. Stage 2 and 3 involve hardware, so they run on a 24 to 48 hour turnaround, as does any file sent in from elsewhere. Typical Stage 1 is an estimated 15 to 30 percent on forced induction and 5 to 12 percent naturally aspirated. Those are estimates for a healthy engine, not measured outputs and not a promise. We tell you which one your engine is before you book.
Every performance job is timed on a Dragy Pro, factory file first and tuned file second, in a single session on one stretch of road. An engine with an existing mechanical fault gets that fixed first: worn injectors and split boost pipes are not a tuning problem.
Questions we get about performance tuning
How long does Stage 1 take?
How much will my engine actually gain?
Do I get a dyno sheet?
Performance & drivability
Power, torque delivery and how the gearbox behaves once the engine makes more of both.
Where performance tuning gets done
Partner workshops in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. What changes by emirate is the drive, the fuel and whether the work can be handled remotely from a file you send.
Ask about performance tuning
Send the make, model and build year, and what the vehicle is doing. We tell you what performance tuning involves on yours before anything is booked in.
