The Chevrolet Silverado 6.2L V8 has no shortage of output. Cylinder deactivation is what breaks it here. On these years that is Dynamic Fuel Management, which cycles through sixteen deactivating lifters instead of the older system's eight, and in stop-start traffic it never stops switching. We replace the lifters, disable the system in software, and recalibrate the truck around it.
