Does tuning affect engine reliability?
On the 1GR-FE, no. It is an under-stressed commercial engine. We simply optimize the efficiency. We have specialized fleet maps for mining/construction companies.
What RPM limit do you recommend?
We can raise it to 6200RPM, but the 1GR makes peak power earlier. There is no benefit to screaming it unless you are in a competition.
