RAM TRX ECU Tuning in Dubai

The RAM TRX puts 702HP through a supercharged Hellcat V8, and in UAE heat the ECU pulls twelve degrees of timing back out of it. We fix the cooling so the truck still pulls on the second run.

How much power does the TRX really lose in the heat?

Enough that stock Raptors pass you on the third dune. We logged a customer's RAM TRX at 83°C intake air temperature with the ECU pulling 12 degrees of ignition timing after three hard runs. On a supercharged engine that is the difference between the brochure truck and yours. We report timing pull and intake temperatures, not a guessed horsepower figure.

Is the TRX reliable for daily driving?

For highway and street use, yes. The RAM TRX gets into trouble under sustained high load, which in this country means dune work: we have logged 83°C intake air and 12 degrees of ignition timing pulled after three hard runs. With cooling hardware and a conservative calibration it stays manageable.

What's the essential first upgrade?

The intercooler. The stock unit on the RAM TRX is undersized for supercharged heat loads in this climate, which is why the ECU pulls timing on the second run. We fit the largest bar-and-plate intercooler available and add oil cooling, then calibrate around it. Software on its own adds no cooling capacity.
